NIPOMO MESA WATER CONSERVATION AREA (NMWCA)
The Retrofit for-Sale (Title 8) requires sellers of homes that use water from the Nipomo Mesa Water Conservation Area must submit verification that plumbing fixtures meet the gallons per flush and gallons per minute requirements for toilets and showerheads to the department of Planning and Building.
Homes built after January 1st, 1994, are known to have 1.6 or less gallons per flush (gpf) toilets. Sellers of these homes may choose to submit a title report to verify the age of the home in lieu of the Retrofit Verification Form.
